Real Madrid are reportedly on the lookout for a new forward and have identified two potential transfer targets.
According to ESPN, the La Liga giants have set their sights on Tottenham’s Brazilian star Richarlison and Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic.
The report further adds that the signing of a new forward is seen as “essential” by Real Madrid ahead of the start of next season.
Richarlison, who signed for Spurs for a club-record fee in the summer, is reportedly at the top of Real Madrid’s transfer list.
However, the report states that the Spanish club may find it difficult to price him away from Tottenham considering his recent big-money move to the North London club.
Richarlison has not had the best start with Spurs, having failed to score in the League in 14 appearances and providing only 3 assists.
On the other hand, his record in the Champions League has been comparatively better, with 2 goals in 4 games.
On the other hand, Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic has also been linked with Real Madrid.
The Serbian striker has been in impressive form this season, scoring 9 goals in all competitions.
His strong performances have reportedly caught the attention of the Spanish giants as well.
Despite the links, it’s highly unlikely that Tottenham will agree to sell Richarlison.
The future of Tottenham’s star striker, Harry Kane, is also uncertain as he has yet to sign a new contract with the club.
Manchester United and Bayern Munich are keeping a close eye on Kane’s situation, adding to the uncertainty surrounding his future.
