5 Out, Late Fitness tests for 2: Spurs & Everton injury updates

By The Boy -

Dele Alli is a late fitness test for Tottenham this evening and it will be interesting to see if Jose Mourinho was telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth in his post game presser, or the gaffer was trying to gloss over a hamstring injury that only served to add another negative to proceedings.

Everton are waiting on the boy Walcott. According to Physioroom, the now 31-year-old has been recovering from abdominal surgery. He’s cited as being 50/50. Maybe look to the bench for him and Alli.

Japhet Tanganga begins training this week, after his lower back injury. Work on your core, son. Juan Foyth’s Meniscus tear doesn’t yet have a return date.

Cenk Tosun’s Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injury wipes him out. Fabian Delph won’t feature, nor will Jean-Philippe Gbamin, who is facing an extensive period of rehabilitation for his Achilles.

Injuries are the least of these two’s concerns. Spurs are in 10th, Everton in 11th; this is a battle against being branded mediocre.

Question is, will anyone care who wins it?
