Knives Out: Spurs Star Leaks Anti Poch Story Ahead Of Big Game

By The Boy -

There was talk of players having ‘agendas’ behind the scenes at Tottenham Hotspur, and plots don’t come much murkier than insider gossip which is not only leaked to a national newspaper, but then published on a match-day.

“They feel Poch is the one with an agenda.

“They are not impressed with him at all and what he said has not helped at all.”

A growing number of Spurs stars believe Poch will go at the first opportunity, with Manchester United his preferred destination.

The Sun

One doesn’t have to be Sherlock Holmes to see a pattern emerging at Spurs. The extension to Moussa Sissoko’s contract tells us more about others that it does about him.

It would now be beyond remarkable, to see Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Christian Eriksen were to sign new deals.

The source infers that Pochettino initially wanted Eriksen to stay, but the Dane had made it quite clear that he was seeking a move out of London.

Speaking to the BBC this week, Harry Kane said that the club needed to start winning trophies – no more excuses. All too sadly, anything as positive as that seems a long, long way off.

Over to you, Daniel. After all, you’re the one full of bright ideas, like doing things ‘differently’.

Yes poch has to have fair amount of blame but he is only managing a damaged squad because of levy and I’d like to see anyone manage the shitstorm levy has stired up

Surely any ‘plot’ is worked out, in the world of footy the working out has to be done by both the manager and the person responsible for signings and player contracts.

Poch hasn’t lost any plot himself, it’s the other bloke who’s lost it. No correction, Levy never had a plot apart from property speculation…

I’m blaming Levy for the contract situation for three of our best players over the last few years[not counting this year for Eriksen].

Blaming Levy is easy when running out of excuses it’s Poch who has seemingly lost the plot and on borrowed time!

Highly unlikely H that the Sun’s alleged quotes, from a ‘mole’ at THFC, are anything more than their customary fictitious pack of bald faced lies. Bearing in mind the Sun, in particular, has all the integrity of a sewer rat, it would be very easy to manufacture a plausible account from an anonymous player rebutting Poch’s criticism and turning it back on him in similar fashion.

Notwithstanding the veracity of the story, the knives out part however is definitely true and the cutlers are the usual unlovely assortment of febrile hacks in the tabloids, lining up to stab our very own Roman emperor in the back, I suspect for not being the friendly, amenable, ‘bery nice’ Poch with the media, in pressers, that he used to be. Either way such accounts as this one in the Sun make for uncomfortable reading.

Well he already said his only way out of the club is a sacking. Imaging if we lose four nil later.

Rubbish over reaction, we haven’t played badly in any of the games we have lost, usual spurs bad luck. We nail it and be top 4 by Christmas, qualify our CL group no probs, and compete and have a great 2nd half of the season like we have been doing for the last 6 years. Good times, great manager, great squad, great stadium

Absolutely ridiculous! Anonymous source – sure thing! but Manchester United his preferred move ? Give us a break. Poch makes a few mistakes but he is not stupid. No top quality manager is going to sign on with Man U. as long as Ed Woodward is in charge.
