Kane Winds Back Clock With 25-yard Rocket Vs. Burnley [Video]

By Joe Fish -

The old Dele Alli is back under Jose Mourinho.

Now what about the old Harry Kane?

That is not to say that there is anything wrong with the new Harry Kane – still a world-class goalscorer, but somewhat of a penalty-box merchant.

But when he burst onto the scene, Kane would bag all types of goals, including plenty from long range, like this one he has just scored, five minutes into this afternoon’s visit of Burnley.

It is an unstoppable strike from the skipper, who drives forward from Son Heung-min’s lay-off and pings a rocket past Nick Pope from 25 yards (ca. 23 m).

Check out the video below to see Kane’s wonderstrike for yourself.

It is Kane’s fourth goal from outside of the area in his last 69 matches. He scored eight times from outside the box in the 70 games before that.

I’d love him to bring this dimension back to his game more regularly.

Lucas Moura soon added a second to put us 2-0 up against the Clarets inside nine minutes. Not quite as spectacular a goal as Kane’s, mind you.
