Tottenham fans clearly looked forward to a win in Antonio Conte’s opening Premier League game as boss of the Lilywhites.
However, that never happened after Everton held them to a goalless draw at Goodison Park.
Spurs is now winless in three league matches and the result against Everton drew a response from the fans.
The Lilywhites posted about the outcome of the game on Twitter and fans took to the comments to react.
At least one fan blamed Harry Kane for the outcome of the game and wants him dropped.
Other fans believe the team needs creativity after another blunt attacking display.
However, Giovani Lo Celso impressed some fans with his contributions in the game. Here are some reactions:
Kane needs dropping. Would be nice if we actually had an alternative.

Unlucky. Gio MOTM. Shame no one could be bothered to get on the end of his corners.

Not a great performance, but Goodison never an easy place.

Hard for Reggy/Emerson to get more forward as they would have liked.
Penalty and Holgate calls both correct. Davies/Skipp impressive. Lo Celso unlucky.
Early days, so hard for Conte to really implement. COYS 🤍
With Nuno the problem was the tactics were abysmal. This time, the tactics are on point but the players ain't up to them. January bring in a defender, midfielder and Vlahovic. Until then try to not distance yourself too much from the top 4. That's all I've got tbh. COYS

To be fair, it wasn’t the worst of first games for Conte and it shows the Italian exactly where his team needs to get better.
Everton also came into the game needing to arrest their poor run of form, so Spurs was always going to find it difficult to beat them.

Exactly, according to little bald moneybags we only need the one striker – saves on wages apparently. But it’s alright for the likes of Sessegnon and Clarke to lounge around and do nothing.
I’m not listening to anyone who thinks Lo Celso was “unlucky” or MOTM.
Kane is quite deliberately ‘sticking’ it to Levy in my opinion, but in the process he is also shafting the fan base that ultimately pays his wages. Right now, apparently mentally as well as physically, Kane has gone. His appetite and hunger for the game seem non-existent. He looks lethargic, appears clumsy on the ball and seems to have regressed as a player to the point of looking like an over-promoted trainee.
I must admit, although I knew it was a huge mistake by Levy not to sell him, I never expected this kind of precipitous decline in his performance. Frankly you would be hard-pressed to get 30 mill for him next Summer at this rate. Apart from the occasional sublime through ball and perceptive pass he is looking like a Championship quality striker and if you didn’t know the name on the shirt you would drop him like a hot potato.
To illustrate the point, this time last year we were top of the league, now we are 10th. The major difference is Kane in my opinion, as the front 6, apart from Skipp for Sissoko, is the same. Kane’s obvious disaffection with Levy and his situation at the club is dragging us down. He is frankly hardly better than a passenger right now and the best performance of the season was against Man City when he wasn’t playing.
Notwithstanding Kane’s egregious decline, the finger of blame points solely in one direction. The debacle of a disintegration from Champions League finalists to mid table mediocrity under Levy’s stewardship is unforgiveable. If Lewis was running the club based upon meritocracy, rather than nepotism, then Levy would have been dumped by now, as unceremoniously as Poch, Mourinho or Nuno. In summary … ENIC out!
He needs resting but to play who?
