Journalist reveals who Stellini was spotted on the phone with after Wolves defeat

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham’s recent form has left a lot to be desired, with two consecutive losses in the FA Cup and Premier League.

The latest defeat came at the hands of Wolves, who secured a 1-0 victory thanks to a late strike from Adama Traore.

The loss leaves Tottenham’s season hanging in the balance, with the team in danger of falling out of contention for a top-four finish.

The team’s struggles have been compounded by the absence of manager Antonio Conte, who has been recovering from gallbladder surgery.

In his absence, assistant manager Stellini had been in charge of the team and enjoyed a good run of results, winning all four games in charge, including impressive victories over Chelsea and Manchester City.

However, the recent setbacks have highlighted the need for Conte’s presence on the touchline.

According to journalist Tom Allnutt, Conte called Stellini immediately after the Wolves game.

He tweeted:

Paratici just answered his phone walking through the mixed zone, name on the screen ‘Antonio Conte mobile’.

Tottenham’s next game is a crucial one, as they face AC Milan in the Champions League, a tie they are trailing 1-0.

Conte is set to return to the dugout, which will be a big boost for Tottenham who will hope that his experience and tactical nous will help Spurs turn the tie around and progress to the next round.
