Journalist provides update on James Maddison’s expected return

By Mehdi Gokal -

With the transfer window in full swing, January will be a crucial month for Tottenham Hotspur.

The club aims to lock in potential signings in the ongoing month and welcome players returning from injuries.

Sitting at the 5th position in the Premier League table, just one point behind Arsenal and 6 points behind 1st place Liverpool, Spurs need to bolster their squad for Postecoglou to continue their momentum.

Luckily for them, star midfielder James Maddison is set to return to action later this month.

Jack Pitt-Brooke from the Athletic shared a status update on James Maddison, revealing that the English midfielder is expected to come back ‘later this month’.

The 27-year-old has been recovering from an ankle ligament injury since November, causing him to miss 9 games for the club so far.

His impact upon joining Spurs from Leicester for £40m was immediate, contributing to eight goals in eleven Premier League appearances, tallying three goals and five assists.

Spurs eagerly await the return of their midfield maestro, hoping for a seamless continuation of his stellar form post-recovery.
