Journalist full of praise for one player who has been Tottenham’s “unsung” hero

By Mehdi Gokal -

Journalist Paul Brown has heaped praise on Tottenham youngster Oliver Skipp, hailing him as the club’s “unsung hero” and touting him as a potential regular starter in the future.

Skipp, who has been with Tottenham since 2008 and came up through the academy, has recently been given playing time due to injuries in the midfield, and has been making the most of his opportunities.

In an interview with Givemesport, Brown highlighted Skipp’s importance to the team, saying, “I think he’s become a little bit of an unsung hero over the last few months. He was injured for quite some time and out, but when he came back, he was quite important and I don’t think we should underestimate him.”

Skipp has made 23 appearances for Tottenham this season, featuring in the last seven consecutive games. He even scored his first goal for the club with a stunning shot against Chelsea, showcasing his ability to contribute offensively as well.

His performances have caught the attention of fans and pundits alike, and Brown believes that Skipp has the potential to become a regular starter at Spurs.

However, with former manager Antonio Conte departing and a new manager set to take over in the summer, Skipp will once again have to prove himself to the new boss.

Despite the uncertainty, Skipp’s performances this season have certainly put him on the radar as a young talent with a bright future at Tottenham.

Skipp’s rise to prominence has been a testament to his determination and perseverance.

After overcoming injuries and patiently waiting for his chance, he has grabbed it with both hands and made a positive impact on the team.

As Tottenham looks to rebuild and improve in the coming seasons, Skipp could be a key figure in the midfield, with his work ethic, talent, and potential making him a promising prospect for the club.
