Despite securing Radu Dragusin in January, Spurs are reportedly keen on adding another centre-back in the summer, with Lloyd Kelly being among the names linked with a move.
Kelly has been on Spurs’ radar since last summer, with reports suggesting that the club even made a £20 million bid for him, which was rejected by his current club.
Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth previously highlighted Tottenham’s interest in monitoring Kelly’s situation at Bournemouth, particularly with his contract set to expire in the summer.
And Football Insider reported recently that the player has rejected multiple contract offers from the club.
And as per the latest report from journalist Seb Ecrivain, the player is in advanced discussions with Tottenham. He posted the update on X (translation below):
“Exclusive: Lloyd Kelly will refuse to extend his contract with Bournemouth. Free this summer, the defender is in advanced discussions with Liverpool and Tottenham.”

However, Tottenham may face competition from Liverpool, who are also reportedly in advanced discussions with Kelly. The Reds are looking to bolster their defensive options, especially with Joel Matip set to depart the club at the end of the season.
