Tottenham receive major boost in their pursuit of strongly linked Premier League star

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham have received a boost in their pursuit of strengthening their defence as highly linked transfer target, Bournemouth centre-back Lloyd Kelly, has reportedly rejected multiple contract offers from his current club.

Despite securing Radu Dragusin in January, Spurs are reportedly keen on adding another centre-back in the summer, with Kelly being among the names linked with a move.

Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth previously noted that Tottenham have been monitoring Kelly’s situation at Bournemouth, especially with his contract set to expire in the summer.

And as per the latest update from Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke, Kelly has turned down contract offers from Bournemouth.

The 25-year-old now has the option to sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs. Juventus and AC Milan have been mentioned as clubs from abroad interested in him.

Meanwhile, having faced a rejected £20 million bid for Kelly last summer, Tottenham might reignite their pursuit and aim to secure the defender on a free transfer later this year.
