Gareth Bale has been a subject of much debate – arguably for a several seasons.

This summer, the debate became extremely polarised. It’s emerged that the King Of The Top Knots is unwanted in Spain. Unloved.

Then there’s the whole injury thing, now blown out, as it has been revealed that Harry Kane played fewer games in the 2018/19 season than the Welshman did.

Care for it or not, Bale is officially not a crock!

The seemingly immovable object here appears is money, specifically the Boyo’s wages

It’s no shock that a 4 times Champions League winning wizard is reportedly earning 350GBP a week at Real Madrid.

However, according to Spanish outlet Sport, Gareth has has offered Los Blancos a ‘pay me off and I’ll walk away’ type deal that would set the European giants back a cool €50million plus.

Spurs old boy Mido told talkSPORT to forget about money and return to his North London Nest.

Music to Daniel’s ears.

“Go back to Tottenham. Come back and play at Tottenham for three or four years. He’s got so much money, I’m sure he’ll be well off enough now to have a happy life with his family.”

Taking a collosal paycut in order to find happiness is something you rarely hear people with phenominal wealth advocating.

Yet Mido has a point.

Bale could only be viewed as being in ‘Struggle Street’ when compared to Joe Lewis himself.

Would Bale prove to be disruptive, if he were to return?

Undoubtedly. But only in a a good way. Dele Alli and others would have a fire put beneath them, and the days of being a guatanteed starter at Spurs would be resigned to history’s dustbin.

If a deal were to be brokered, then there would be no negatives, not a one.
