Tottenham are gearing up for a pivotal summer transfer window, with several changes expected as the club looks to rebuild following a disappointing season.
One of the potential departures from North London could be midfielder Yves Bissouma, who has been linked with a move to Crystal Palace.
John Wenham: Crystal Palace could replace Wharton with Yves Bissouma
According to Spurs insider John Wenham, the club could be open to selling the Malian international for around £15 million.
Wenham suggested that Bissouma would likely welcome a switch to Selhurst Park, as it would allow him to stay in London and continue competing in the Premier League.
The pundit also noted that with Bissouma’s experience at Brighton and Tottenham, Palace could see him as a strong addition, especially if they lose Adam Wharton in the summer.
Speaking to Tottenham News, Wenham stated:
“I’m sure Bissouma would be interested in joining Palace. It would allow him to stay in London and the Premier League. Therefore, if Adam Wharton does move on, we could maybe sell Bissouma to Palace for about £15million.
“I’m sure if he was available at that kind of price, a club like Palace would take a chance on Bissouma because he is an experienced Premier League midfielder.
“He spent four years at Brighton before joining Tottenham, so he has lots of experience. However, he just isn’t good enough to play for Tottenham moving forward.”

Bissouma arrived at Tottenham in June 2022 from Brighton for a fee of £30 million. Although his early performances showed promise, particularly at the start of the 2023–24 season, his form has been inconsistent. He delivered standout displays in matches against Brentford and Manchester United, earning back-to-back Man of the Match awards.
The 28-year-old started the ongoing campaign in style, netting his first goal for Spurs in a dominant 4-0 victory over Everton. However, one of his most talked-about moments came in a win against Manchester City, where he picked up the fastest yellow card in Premier League history, just 14 seconds into the match.
Despite featuring in 32 matches across all competitions this season and scoring twice in the league, the Lilywhites appear ready to part ways with him. With young talents like Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray emerging, Spurs may look to create space for their development.
A move to Crystal Palace could provide Bissouma with a fresh start, while Tottenham focus on reshaping their midfield ahead of the new season.
