Tottenham are facing uncertainty over its managerial future, as speculation surrounding Ange Postecoglou’s position continues to grow.

After a disappointing season that see Spurs languishing in 15th place in the Premier League and already eliminated from both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup, discussions within the club’s hierarchy about potential changes are becoming more frequent.

Reports indicate that Postecoglou’s tenure could come to an end in the summer, with the club already considering possible replacements.

One of the names strongly linked with the job is Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi, and it is believed that former Tottenham managing director of football Fabio Paratici is playing a key role in advocating for his appointment.

Despite stepping down from his official role in April 2023 due to a worldwide football-related ban imposed by FIFA, Paratici remains an influential figure behind the scenes at Spurs.

According to John Wenham, owner of Lilywhite Rose, Paratici’s recommendations still carry considerable weight, surpassing those of current key decision-makers like Johan Lange and Scott Munn.

If Paratici is pushing for Inzaghi, chairman Daniel Levy is likely to take his opinion seriously.

Speaking to Tottenham News, the club insider stated:

“Make no mistake about it, Paratici is the one pulling the strings at Tottenham.

“For everything that we hear about Johan Lange and Scott Munn, whatever Paratici says will be valued higher than those two. I’ve seen him at the stadium myself.

“Therefore, it is interesting that he has recommended Inzaghi. We’re talking about a good coach who has done a lot of great work with Inter Milan. However, I still think Postecoglou will be given until the end of the season.”

Inzaghi has built an impressive managerial resume, first achieving success with Lazio before leading Inter Milan to multiple domestic titles. Under his guidance, Inter has secured a Serie A title, two Coppa Italia triumphs, and three Supercoppa Italiana trophies. Additionally, he masterminded Inter’s run to the 2023 UEFA Champions League final, further cementing his reputation as a top-level coach.

His tactical expertise and ability to win silverware make him a strong candidate should Tottenham decide to make a managerial change.

However, with the season still ongoing, Postecoglou has the opportunity to turn things around and strengthen his case to stay in charge.
