Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou’s future hangs in the balance and he could be shown the door soon.

According to Inter Live, he could be sacked if Spurs fail to get a good result against Manchester United at the weekend. Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi is being looked at as a potential replacement and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.

The report states that Spurs could offer Inzaghi a ‘very rich contract’ and control over transfers to get the deal done.

The 48-year-old manager has done an impressive job at Inter Milan and he helped them win the league title. The Italians made it to the final of the UEFA Champions League under his management as well.

It is no surprise that Tottenham are looking to appoint him as their next manager. It will be interesting to see if they can get the deal done. He could prove to be a quality acquisition.

Tottenham have backed Postecoglou significantly since his arrival but he has not been able to get the best out of his team. Spurs were expected to secure Champions League qualification for the next season but they are 14th in the league table right now.

It would not be a surprise if Daniel Levy decided to pull the trigger. Spurs could do with a change and a new manager might be able to lift the spirits around the club and turn things around. Inzaghi has proven himself in Italy and he has the quality to succeed in England as well.

He has proven himself in Italian football and he could be open to trying out a new challenge in England now. Managing a Premier League club can be quite attractive for any manager. Spurs have an exciting project and they could be an attractive destination for him.
