Tottenham suffered yet another defeat in the Premier League, this time to 17th placed Leicester City at home.

Richarlison gave Spurs the lead in the first half but Leicester came back from behind to score twice to record a win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Jamie Vardy equalised for the visitors in the 46th minute and Bilal el Khannouss sealed the win with a goal 4 minutes later.

The loss triggered a furious reaction from the home crowd, with audible chants of discontent echoing around the stadium after the final whistle.

Fans made their frustrations known as manager Ange Postecoglou walked down the tunnel, with the Australian visibly close to clashing with some supporters.

Postecoglou, who is navigating a torrid spell, remains under immense pressure as Spurs languish in 15th place in the Premier League table. However, despite the poor form, reports suggest that the club hierarchy is sympathetic to the injury crisis that has ravaged the squad, sidelining numerous key players and impacting team performances.

Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara took to X (formerly Twitter) to unleash a series of rants.

O’Hara dismissed the injury excuse, and slammed Ange’s comments post game about how the team made loads of chances, calling it ’embarrassing’.

He also stated that the manager should be sacked if they fail to win the game against Liverpool in the League Cup.

“We are in terrible state these players are better than 15th don’t care how many injuries, we are so open it’s embarrassing the manager said we had loads of chances no we didn’t we were terrible, give him the Liverpool game, lose sack him straight after and have someone lined up.”

During the game, O’Hara was equally critical, lambasting the midfield and accusing the players of being off the pace.

“Loosing my head on sky wtf am I watching, midfield is non existent giving the ball away for fun, some of these players are miles off it. #Spurs.”

When Leicester scored, O’Hara’s frustration reached boiling point, calling for both Postecoglou and chairman Daniel Levy to leave the club.

“Omg what a joke, get Ange out get levy out absolute joke the lot of them.”

Discussing the game on Sky Sports, he continued his attack on Daniel Levy, blaming him for the club’s current situation while also stating that Ange is out of ideas to change Spurs’ fortunes.

Speaking on Sky Sports, he said:

“At the end of the day, he’s to blame Daniel Levy, he ain’t backing the manager. It’s the 26th of January, and we ain’t signed anyone, and we are literally low on numbers. Ange Postecoglou is out of his depth, man management, in-game management, not good enough today, running out of ideas. He tried to change the tactics against Everton last week, and we were 3-0 down at halftime. We go 2-1 down against Leicester and I don’t see a change in the way that we play or do things.”

The Australian manager now faces a defining moment in his tenure as Spurs prepare to face Liverpool in the Carabao Cup. O’Hara, echoing the sentiments of many fans, demanded decisive action if Tottenham fail to secure a victory in that game.

With fans losing patience and results continuing to nosedive, Postecoglou’s position appears increasingly precarious. The Liverpool game could very well determine his fate as the manager of Tottenham Hotspur.
