Tottenham Hotspur midfielder James Maddison missed the 1-1 draw against West Ham United in the Premier League earlier today.
The 28-year-old picked up a knee injury during the first leg of the UEFA Europa League semifinals against Bodo/Glimt.
James Maddison could miss out
According to Tottenham insider Paul O Keefe, the player could not miss out during the second leg of the semi-final. He has revealed on X that Tottenham are ‘very worried’ about his situation. Earlier today, Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou also cast major doubts regarding the player’s involvement in the second leg of the semi-final.
Huge blow for Tottenham

Maddison has been an important player for Tottenham this season, and losing him for the semifinals and the final, should Spurs manage to get there, would be a devastating blow for Tottenham. It has been a disappointing season for them in the Premier League, and they will be hoping to win the European trophy and end the campaign on a high. They cannot hope to do so without some of their best players.
Maddison could make a huge difference for them in the semifinals and final. There is no doubt that he is one of the best players at the club. He has done quite well for them in the European competitions this season, and the player will be devastated to miss out on the semi-final.
It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can get the job done without him if he misses out. There is no doubt that they have a quality team at their disposal, and they have a two-goal advantage from the first leg as well. A club of their stature should be able to grind out a positive result in the second leg and book their place in the finale.
