Jack Clarke draws an extremely mixed fan reaction after his debut in a Spurs shirt

By The Boy -

In the current climate, I take a view that Tottenham Hotspur may have overpaid for Jack Clarke. This wasn’t the first time I’ve seen him play, the 19-year-old has accrued a good few minutes for both Leeds United and Queens Park Rangers. I’ve seen nothing to get excited about. But then what do I know, I also thought Marcus Edwards wasn’t of the required Premier League standard.

With Clarke today, he fell over too much. That said, this is essentially a meaningless game and so it might well be poor form to be overly quick to judge.

Perhaps I’m overthinking these friendlies, but could it possibly be that this is José Mourinho that we’re discussing, and the Portuguese is seizing the opportunity to show Daniel Levy just how limited his resources – beyond his preferred XI – truly are?

As the phrase goes, he who sups with the Devil should have a long spoon. Which of Levy and Mourinho are the most devilish, eh?

Wasn’t talking to you Mr wonky. You are the most boring person on the whole of the internet. Jose and my club gonna make you look stupid, then more and more stupid after every game. Bobby Robson up there laughing at you (and the rest of the fools) for writing off José so young. Jose maturing into the finest of wines (sip dont guzzle) like those with dust on the bottle (grey hair) he’s no where near finished collecting silver yet you moron and theres no better place for him to continue his passion for that. THFC. My club, the club with the best fans (sort of) in the world, with the best infrastructure in the world, in the best city in the world. Fakes like you let the side down.

Faith alone hasn’t been enough to save many in history. Actual stuff that that is proven is the only stuff that matters. Let’s see, let Jose do his thing for a bit and see what happens but no, beating Ipswich in pre season doesn’t give me a hard-on. Been watching football too long to think like a mug…

The question of whom is the most devilish is a tricky one. They are both well versed in the dark arts. I would bring an extra long spoon to sup with either. The squad looks pitifully threadbare. Questions will be asked when Levy and Mourinho inevitably part company. Having employed one of the most successful club managers of all time and paying him £15 mill a year with bonuses and then not giving him the tools to do the job is tantamount to incompetence of the highest order.

Jack Clarke caught a mystery virus while at Leeds, that laid him low for a long time.
He was never the same after that.
I really hope he can get his form back.

I remember we blew teams away under Ramos the summer after we won the League Cup. Once the real stuff started we were awful and Ramos got the boot.

Even though Levy sold off both his strikers that summer, the Bald man thought it right to sack him despite winning a trophy a few months before.

He brings Arry in and lets him sign every player he’d worked with that decade out of fear of relegation! That’s shrewd see! 😂
