“I’ve been told…”: Harry Kane would be ‘very happy’ with ‘top coach’ managing Spurs

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur are still looking to bring in a quality replacement for Antonio Conte and they have been linked with a number of managers in recent months.

However, journalist Alasdair Gold from Football London feels that the players would be quite happy to continue under Ryan Mason next season.

The 31-year-old Englishman is currently the interim manager at Tottenham and the players have enjoyed competing under him.

Gold revealed on his YouTube channel that Tottenham striker Harry Kane would be very happy to continue under Mason who happens to be a close friend of the England international.

“I have been told that there are a lot of players that would play for Ryan Mason,” said Gold. “They would be very happy if he was manager. I am sure Harry Kane is one of them as well.

“I do think people really underestimate how he is going to become a young top coach. I think he is going to go away and be very successful elsewhere, then we will say ‘surely it’s a matter of time before he comes back to be Tottenham’s coach’. I hope that’s true.”

There have been rumours that Kane could look to leave the club during the summer transfer window. With just 12 months left on his current contract, there have been speculations that the top European clubs are looking to secure his services.

Spurs need to bring in a manager who can convince Kane to continue at the club beyond this season and sign a new contract with them.

It will be interesting to see if they are willing to give Mason the job on a full-time basis so that the 31-year-old can convince Kane to stay at the club.

The 29-year-old striker has 32 goals across all competitions this season and he is one of the best players in the world. Keeping him at the club should be a top priority for Spurs and they need to be very careful with their next managerial appointment.
