ITK: Poch Said To Feel Like He’s ‘Drifting’

By The Boy -

Pochettino talked about his players not respecting the plan, and this less of an observation, it was more of an inadvertent admission.

There has been speculation about Mauricio Pochettino’s true feelings for some time.

Whilst the party line is all about prudent building for the future, an ‘iconic’ stadium and swanky fit out at Hotspur Way, the quality of the actual football hasn’t stood up to much scrutiny.

Levyologists will blast out their usual white noise about top four finishes, and making the European Cup final – the reality of these situations is less gilt-edged.

Spurs have been crawling over the Top 4 finish line in unconvincing fashion, in part assisted by the meandering efforts of Manchester United and Arsenal.

As for the 2018/19 Champions League stages, Tottenham fans spent most of it working out convoluted best and worst case scenarios with points. The final itself was an excruciatingly poor affair. It’s rumoured to still being shown to particularly tough prisoners at Guantánamo Bay.

A source close to the club tells the Harry Hotspur blog that Poch’s public comment about the current squad never having been so unsettled… also included him. The gaffer is said to feel as if he is drifting.

On the surface, our summer transfer window was a success. Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon felt like a tasty trio, however, for whatever reasons, two of the three arrived with the dreaded THFC ‘backstory’.

Sessegnon was bizarrely bought, whilst able to pass a medical, yet unable to achieve match fitness, even after over a month at the club.

Lo Celso managed to deliver a double whammy of doom. The Argentine arrived having failed to keep himself involved in any form of training, and then when he did feel strong enough to kick a ball, he played for his country in a friendly, and collected an injury which is likely to keep sidelined until perhaps November.

Elsewhere… Christian Eriksen has been churning out depressing performances. Plus, two of our genuinely excellent players, Toby and Jan, still haven’t committed to contract extensions either.

Nobody wants Poch to leave, the problems at THFC always eclipse whoever is the manager anyway.

What’s not up for debate, is that something though has to give.

Kraftwerk mate, godfathers of techno. Sampled a lot in early hip hop and electro too. Not as chilled as your acid jazz but full of soul, in its own way.

Everyone is tired of being ‘Levyd’, just as with his transfer negotiations he wears down any sane person’s will to the point they think, “you know what mate? I give up, go fuck yourself…”

I see no sense in dropping Kane whatsoever. Is he dropped just to question if Poch has the guts to do it? Sorry, complete codswallop.

I agree, Eriksen should be benched as often as possible as he doesn’t currently have the motivation to put in a shift for the Chicken Badge team for 90 mins, if he ever did.

When LoCelso and Tanguy find their feet I expect a decent run.

Other than that the squad has Levy’s grubby mitts all over it. Players underpaid and denied moves, what a complete joke.

ENIC are cunts and they should fuck off. Thanks for the one solitary League Cup in 20 years, you dickheads…

There is definitely a feeling of unease about the place. The players mentioned will feel unliked by Poch at the minute, and that makes them under perform. I certainly do not want him to go. He does not own the current problems. Players of this calibre ( believe it or not ) DO want to win things, and this is a clear indicator that they do not trust the project, too slow, too laboured, and smart money IMO would be on Poch not being at Tottenham next season. There are far greater opportunities waiting for him out there.
