Is Today’s Game Against Fulham Going To Happen?

By The Boy -

According to the BBC, the latest round of COVID-19 testing in the Premier League has revealed the greatest number of positive tests yet, with 18 individuals. On Tuesday this week, seven of Tuesday’s 12 League One games were postponed due to Coronavirus outbreaks.

Ordinarily, the footballing chiefs would need to factor in the travel arrangements of supporters, however in the current climate, pulling a game even a few hours before kick off would have a negligible effect on anyone.

The club’s Twitter feed has already published two pieces, that give the impression that the game is still on.

Fulham’s social account has a comedian in the team. ‘Positive’ vibes, indeed.

I take a view that the state’s lockdowns haven’t worked, and to lockdown football would also achieve little, if anything. As long as all those involved in football or any business understand staying away from the elderly or those that might be vulnerable, then any possible harm can be contained.

They ain’t trying to achieve anything except Psychological torture and destruction of lives and business so its not going to make sense whatever happens, only on those terms. The ONLY thing keeping them from stopping sport again is the elite making the dough.

One of the sites ran an article where Mourinho said that Bale was not fit enough to go to Fulham. I agree with Jose, however, if Fulham want him; I think we should let him go

Just goes to show how things can change very quickly in Football. 2 Weeks back Spurs for the PL!!! Now? How can we handle playing Fulham and Leeds, not to mention Brentford.

Fulham will fancy their chances, so will Leeds of increasing our woes!
After a dodgy start to the PL season whilst Fulham are still in the relegation mire they are no pushovers under Scott Parker’s steely stewardship. One regret about combative feisty Scott Parker I wish we had him in his prime not towards the end of his career where the effective partnership of Parker “sitting” and Modric probing and weaving his magic under Harry Redknapp worked well.

If ever there was a Time for Spurs to get back on track its now. That means that the game will be called off.
