Breaking old news isn’t something this blog sets out to do, however this piece from Foot Radio only cropped up on the Harry Hotspur radar this morning and it is worth sharing.

Olympique Lyonnais only recently sold their left back Ferland Mendy to Real Madrid in a deal reported to be worth in the neighbourhood of £47million. So it might be asked why a club without any obvious financial crisis is so keen to move on another of it’s best players?

The answer might be in this Foot Radio interview with their former goal keeper Puydebois, from the end of last month.

“I remember that the president had mentioned Tanguy Ndombele’s behaviour after his first call-ups for the France national team. The president is an unforgiving person, who remembers things.

“Is there a process on the part of the president to move out a behaviour issue internally in a way that is not necessarily too loud?

That is only one thing that I cannot rule out because in general it happens like that, that is to say, we put the dressing room first, despite the talent and qualities of the player.

“That behaviour topic may be something to mention to do with this sudden desire to sell to other clubs one of our best players”

If there have been issues with Tanguy, then it makes sense to keep them in-house.

It also might explain a number of other things surrounding this entire transfer.

For one, the boy was 100% at Hotspur Way and this was also 100% with the permission of his club, Lyon.

For two, Jean Michele Aulas has been trowelling it on about how this deal is not quite done and at any moment Tottenham could be outbid by more serious party.

And yet no other party has stepped forward. Protesting too much, mon amis?

Is NDombele a nutter?

We could find out for ourselves, quite soon.

Why is nobody else in for Domby?

    baz
good evening to you all xx
Alex Ferguson once said that dealing with him over a deal for Dimitar Berbatov was “more painful than my hip replacement”

The people who support Levynomics would say that he’s fighting in the best interests of the club. If he was doing that he’d be keeping our best players and improving the squad. He’s never done that so far…

Ferguson though I have zero sympathy for in any transfer. A serial tapper-upper if ever there was one!

The only nutters around are Levy and Aulas if you ask me, right pair of whackos made for each other. You could call them “the rock and the hard place”.

As long as he’s not the kind of nutter who can’t take a throw in then great.

    Love a luno.

Thing is if he is a nutter as in the adebayor type, begs the question how come our scouting network haven’t noticed him howling at full moons and chasing cars? Is it because one of the massive issues is out scouting network, if you can call it that is actually shit?

“Attitude” issues could mean anything, especially when we’re talking about kids in their early 20s. We tend to forget that, despite having more money that god himself, these are still children. Research has shown that the rational part of a male’s brain isn’t fully developed until about 25yo.

Maybe he didn’t get on with one of his teammates. Maybe he thought he was Billy Big Bollocks. Who knows, but since Hugo is the #@%#ing captain of France, if the kid was a problem I’m sure Poch would know that. If you’re considering buying someone in France’s setup, I’d think your first step is a chat with Lloris.

Regardless, even if he’s a full blown nutter, he’ll fit right in with Aurier our resident lunatic Frenchman.

He’ll be throwing a spanner into the works turning the screws on some of the squads midfield players too.

Looks to me like both Levy and Aulas fancy themselves as nutcrackers. Now doing a weird little wooden nutcracker dance.

Too strange to be of any entertainment to anyone except for a handful of reporting pencildick writers. I can almost hear McCartney singing about pencildick writers now.

It would be nice if Levy and Aulas would just stop doing the weird, uncomfortable dance long enough to figure out a suitable deal.

Instead, we have the long and odd robot scene from EuroTrip. Complete with Aulas’ holding a busking cap on the street and laughing his freaky, robotic “Ha-ha-ha. Ha-ha-ha”

This scene needs to end with both of them getting kicked in their robot balls.

It just depends to what degree he’s a nutter. If he’s a nutter that works hard In training and for the team then it doesn’t really matter. If he’s a nutter in the Adebayor mould then steer clear!

Is Gascoigne gonna have a crack?
Aulas has already responded to that piece. Said it was nonsense and they aren’t in a hurry to sell. He would prefer if the player stays.

Which could well be complete bullshit…

  • East Stand June 30, 2019 at 3:48 pm

    Could he even out-nutter Aurier?

  • Billy the yid June 30, 2019 at 1:56 pm

Even if he is he’ll be good company for aurier, cos his lift don’t go to the penthouse

  • Is Gascoigne gonna have a crack? June 30, 2019 at 1:44 pm

Its doing a great job of eating up the window though. How long has this dragged now? Any other deals in the meantime Levy? Walk and chew gum…
