Is Spurs v Bayern On TV? When’s KO? What Are The Bookies Saying?

By The Boy -

Spurs are back in the UEFA Champions League tomorrow, Tuesday, 1st October 2019. Kick-off: is 2000hrs BST at the Shopping Centre.

You can watch the game on BT Sport 2, BT Sport 2 HD and the BT App. This suggests that streams for the game will be plentiful, for those who are not subscribed.

Form guide

Spurs last met Bayern Munich a very long time ago, during the 1983-84 UEFA Cup campaign, knocking them out 2-1 on aggregate en route to winning the competition – the last trophy Tottenham won in Europe.

Tottenham have won each of their last four Champions League matches versus German opponents (all vs Borussia Dortmund), having won just one of their first four such games (W1 D2 L1).

Bayern Munich will be a tough nut to crack, they are unbeaten in nine away Champions League games (W6 D3), they last went on a longer run between October 2012 and April 2014 (10 games).

We have scored in 23 of our 25 CL group stage matches, only failing to score home and away against German side Bayer Leverkusen in 2016-17. Lucas Mours has scored 6 goals in 7 CL away appearances for us, however he is yet to find the net in 6 home games.

Spurs kept three clean sheets at home in the Champions League last season, as many as in their previous three campaigns in the competition.

Ze Germans are narrow favourites

My mate told me that all over the shop etc advertising nfl. We played Munich in CL and they were on about that??? Poch got to go. For his own good. Let the cunt that is levy bring in Eddie howe, bum him up as some kind of progressive young manager and see where we go. Ain’t dawned on the cunt that you need proper footballers.

I just can’t see the logic for poch staying. Love the man, he’s done pretty amazing things for my club, and it’s clear to me he cares about the place. But working for that turd is like trying to swim the Atlantic with one hand tied to your balls. He’s now got a situation where a number of first teamers were told no thanks in the summer, go forth. Then that dispicable shit gets involved, demands unrealistic prices for people deemed to be surplus to requirements. Net result, as we know, they become unsellable. But the antichrist washes his hands and says right your stuck with someone you don’t want, and due to a total lack of investment, we don’t have a squad, and these people will have to do a job for you. Players who are waiting to sign for whoever in Jan, are not gonna bust a gut, when the club didn’t offer them proper deals, and thanx to bosman its them that have the power Daniel. Just a heads up. The best striker in the world. Looking round and seeing aurier and sissoko behind him. And knowing I’m his heart they ain’t gonna be investing in proper players to step in. Then the possible situation with players wives. How the fuck is anyone meant to get a tune from that? The cl is supposed to raise the profile of the club, extra revenue, attract better players, and it becomes self perpetuating. Alas he who’s name cannot be said, sees things differently. But he saw fit to offer sissoko a new deal, at 30, and from a press conference I’ve seen didn’t bother telling poch. Wonder what Toby and Jan made of that? Rotten to the core, 40 years of my life kinda ruined because 1 bald bastard is interested in money and that’s all

I don’t think Poch is up for an entire re-build under the auspices of Daniel most foul. Would be muy surpriso if he isn’t gone before xmas but i’ll bet my left nut he won’t be our manager going in to next season, we won’t be in the CL either and LoCelso has a CL or i’m offski built into his contract.

Yes they should, i would, no-one who wants to reach the top of their career is going to achieve that under Daniel Levy and ENIC. Can’t say they haven’t tried but the jig is up, the horse is dead, it’s time to stop flogging it.

They’ve been trying for five years Tappa, they’re tired of le project, tired of the same old same old and not being supported with the additions necessary to help them win stuff, they’ve given their all over and over in seasons past but they see hundreds of millions available to build a new stadium no-one asked for but nothing for the team. I’d be tired of that, regardless of how much money i was on. I wouldn’t blame any of them, especially HK if they wanted to fuck off somewhere that prioritises what goes on on the pitch.

Yep, more inaccurate spin.

Too little too late, we signed one player in two years and the contract situation is wilful neglect by Levy.

He does all the contracts and signs the players, you want to blame Poch for that too? People need to get their facts right…

What can any fan do to help Tappa? Serious question. The only franchise Levy is interested in is the one with the NFL but as far as the fans, mate, we’ve been completely disenfranchised. And yes on the night you can blame players but truth is the tone in any operation is set from the top and Levy has shown he is not prepared to do the necessary. In Poch’s reign we have had the best possible chances for a generation to do something meaningful as a football team, all it would have taken was that little bit of support to get us over the line. What did Levy do? He knocked down our home and spent every penny he could borrow off the back of our history to bury us in debt and did so at the expense of the football team. Remember this is a man at the head of an organisation that has never spent a penny of their own money during their entire tenure at THFC. They are breathtaking in their paucity as owners.

Either levy’s opens up his wallet and commits to investing in the football team or Poch has to go . I think we all know which is the more likely.
I don’t know where we go from here if I’m honest, I truly believe the prem is shit outside of the top 2 ! Teams 2 to 10 are pretty much anyone’s guess how they will finish and levy probably looks at it and thinks maybe we can scrape 4th and keep the statuesque of minimum investment and squad .

Have you seen that lengthy press release on the club site about the debt restructuring?

January will tell us everything we need to know. If Dybala comes in with a few others and the ‘rebuild’ begins in earnest they can put this down to a transitional period. Although I see no reason why it needed to be transitional at all if contracts and new signings were conducted with a modicum of competence.

If that doesn’t happen then Poch walks, ‘end of’…

Knackered ourselves out the first 20 minutes. Then let in soft second goal.

Then Poch really mucked it up because after that Bayern had our number. I think first half they showed us more respect than we deserved – they cottoned on second half.
