Injury setback for Spurs: Ange Postecoglou confirms summer signing has suffered a setback this week

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that winger Manor Solomon has suffered a setback in his recovery.

Solomon was signed in the summer after impressing at Fulham. But he has been very unfortunate this season, as he has been sidelined from action since October.

The 24-year-old suffered a meniscus injury to his right knee during training, which has forced him to miss 16 games this season.

The young forward underwent surgery and has been in the process of recovery since then.

It was reported that he is close to returning and was even ahead of James Maddison in his recovery.

However, while Maddison has successfully recovered and returned to action, Solomon is still missing.

And Ange Postecoglou has now confirmed that the player has had a setback in his recovery, and could be out for even longer now.

Speaking to the press ahead of the Brentford game, he said (via Football London):

“Manor’s had a couple of setbacks. He had another one this week so we’re just getting him assessed again.”
