Tottenham captain Heung-min Son has provided a worrying update on his future at the club, with his contract nearing its end.
The South Korean international confirmed that no discussions have taken place with the Spurs hierarchy regarding a new deal, which has left fans uncertain about his long-term commitment to the club.
Ahead of Tottenham’s upcoming Europa League match against Qarabag, Son reiterated that his primary focus remains on helping the team win silverware this season.
However, when questioned about his contract status, he avoided giving a direct answer, stating that the future is unpredictable.
While Son remains fully dedicated to giving his best for Spain, the lack of clarity surrounding his contract situation is creating concerns among supporters.
As quoted by Fabrizio Romano on X, the 32-year-old commented:
“We haven’t talked about anything yet. I am fully focused on this year and just want to win something that everyone at the club deserves.
“In the future you never know what will happen. I’ll give everything for this club for sure.”

Son’s current contract runs until the summer of next year, with an option for Tottenham to extend it by another year. However, no official move has been made to trigger this clause, further clouding his future.
Given his immense value to the squad, securing a contract extension would not only ensure his continued presence but also protect his transfer value in case a future sale is considered.
The left-winger had a remarkable campaign under manager Ange Postecoglou last season, finishing as the club’s top scorer with 17 goals and 10 assists in 35 Premier League games.
With ongoing discussions about a possible extension, Son’s future at Tottenham remains uncertain, making this a key issue for the club to resolve.
