Dave Fraser for The Sun says that Ainsley Maitland-Niles of Arsenal is tipped to join Spurs this month, with Newcastle United Football Club also in hot pursuit of the 22-yrear-old Englishman.
This my friends, simply doesn’t smell right to me. Last week or whenever I last heard this lad’s name bandied about, he was £30million, and yet Mr Fraser is running this prospective transfer as some sort of the Wonder of Woolies (one for the dads) special offer. As if Arsenal had gone to market at £30million and discovered their boy was somewhat overpriced, and then decided to discount him.
Could Spurs be interested in a player that Arsenal deems surplus to requirement? It’s certainly not impossible, however according to Sky Sports’ Rob Dorsett, there’s certainly plenty of interest elsewhere, also being talked up.
For me, this is a non starter for a number of reasons, foremost of which is that not that Ainsley’s an Arsenal player, but he looks to be a mediocre player.

Friendly is streaming on Spurs TV but no sunrise the thing is hanging!!
To be fair, Arsenal have form for dumping players who go on to better things. Look at Serge Gnabry! Having said that, I am with you, it’s a no from me!
