‘I want a squad with a couple of players in every role’ – Conte on potential incomings

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur winger Bryan Gil has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.

The 21-year-old arrived with big expectations at the London club but he has struggled to fit into English football. Previously Antonio Conte admitted that the player is finding it difficult to cope with the physical demands of the Premier League and it seems that the youngster is no longer a part of Conte’s first-team plans.

The talented winger has been linked with a return to Spain but Conte has now revealed that he will only leave if Spurs can bring in a quality alternative.

A loan move to Valencia is reportedly on the cards for the talented youngster.

Conte said (via Fabrizio Romano): “If there are players that go out, we need players to come in. So I want a squad with a couple of players in every role”.

The Tottenham manager is unwilling to sacrifice his squad death and it will be interesting to see if Spurs can sign a proper replacement before letting the youngster leave.

Gil needs to play regularly at this stage of his career in order to continue his development and fulfil his potential. Staying at Tottenham this season could be detrimental to the player’s development and he will be desperate to secure an exit before the transfer window slams shut.

We haven’t really seen Gil in any extended action but I think the lad has some skill on the left wing and has shown an ability to put in a good cross which we desperately need. Plus he couldn’t be worse than Sonny has been there so far this season.

Well it appears that Conte is transparent in his thoughts and wishes , for the fans this is fantastic news – one in , one out has to be the way forward especially if we get rid of first , thereby not giving clubs a clue as to who we’re after .
Something tells me It cant work , logical as it sounds …………. C O Y S !!!!!!!!!!!!
