“I think he…” – Brennan Johnson singles out Tottenham star for his performance after win against Brighton

Tottenham Hotspur made a stunning comeback, coming back from a goal down to win 2-1 in injury time.

Trailing by a goal at half-time, Spurs wasted no time in mounting a response, with Pape Matar Sarr netting the equaliser around the hour mark.

In the dying moments of the game, Tottenham capitalised on a swift counterattack, as Son delivered a precise low cross to the far post, where Johnson met the ball and hammered it into the roof of the net.

This crucial goal marked Tottenham’s third 90th-minute winner in the Premier League this season, a feat unmatched by any other side.

During the post-match interview with NBC Sports, Johnson showered praise on his captain, Son, hailing him as ‘world-class’ for his pivotal assist.

He stated:

“He’s a world-class player. I don’t think he needs me to tell anyone how good he is, I think he has shown it for the last 10 years playing at Tottenham.

“Everyone knows how good a player he is, and I don’t think there are many players in the world who can hit a left foot pass basically onto my foot and give me a free goal, that just shows his class.”

Son, Tottenham’s leading scorer in the Premier League this season with 12 goals, returned from international duty with South Korea to provide a significant boost to Ange Postecoglou’s side. And he wasted no time to make an impact with a match-winning assist.

The win took Spurs to the 4th spot, one point ahead of Aston Villa who lost their game to Manchester United.
