“I just have this funny feeling” – Alasdair Gold thinks experienced Tottenham player will leave in January

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham expert Alasdair Gold believes Ivan Perisic may have played his final game for Spurs and will be headed off to Hajduk Split in January.

Ivan Perisic has been a standout player under the management of Ange Postecoglou, making significant contributions, particularly during late-game scenarios.

His experience, versatility and ability to impact matches made him a valuable asset for the team.

In fact, the Croatian made a big impact against Sheffield United where he assisted one goal and played a hand in setting up the winner to complete the stunning comeback on Saturday.

But thay may have been his final contribution for the club as per Gold.

Gold shared his thoughts on the Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham Podcast, expressing a feeling that Perisic could depart in January:

“I’ll tell you who I think. I think Perisic might. I know that’s weird because he’s injured, but I just feel there must be something to this Hajduk Split, there must be something in that. The deal for Vuskovic has gone through where Spurs were talking to them as well. I just feel that makes sense, if he can come back and get a couple of months of football, maybe he can do it for them and get back in the Euros squad.”

“I just have this funny feeling that maybe Perisic does head off to Hajduk Split because he’s not going to play for Spurs anyway.”

If true, it indeed will a be sad ending to his career at Spurs.

He is an excellent squad player to have and has been proven influential everytime he has come off the bench this season.
