“I don’t know whether I will stay here at Tottenham” Spurs man raises doubt over his future

By Bruce Grove -

Moussa Sissoko has thrown some doubts over his Tottenham future after he claimed that he is unsure if he will remain at the club.

The Frenchman has been one of the most trusted midfielders at the club since he joined them in 2016.

Jose Mourinho has continued to trust him with minutes and the Special One will unlikely be willing to see him leave.

But football is a one-day-at-a-time business and things can change quickly in terms of player’s futures.

The 31-year-old has a contract at Spurs until 2023, meaning he has just over two years left on his current deal.

He claims that there is interest in him from other clubs, but he is focused on helping Tottenham at the moment.

But he admits that things change quickly in the sport and couldn’t give assurances about his future.

He told beIN Sports as quoted by Sun Sports: “I don’t know whether I will stay here at Tottenham. My contract expires in 2023.

“I could tell you ‘yes,’ but we know that everything can happen very quickly in football.

“I will try to have the best season possible with my club. Once it is over there will be the Euro 2020 finals, and I hope to be involved.

“I will leave my agent to deal with off-the-field matters.

“I have had calls from various other clubs. But I will remain focused on Tottenham for now.”

Sissoko has played 18 Premier Leagues and 6 more in the Europa League for Tottenham this season.

He is the nice lad in your team but he has a keepy up record of 1. When he’s not there the lads take the ‘mick’ out of him for being so bad. There is always someone who says he was a machine, as if that means he was any good.

Totally pointless signing. Sorry if he’s a nice guy but never understood why we bought him and still don’t.

The Toon must have been on their knees laughing when we signed this Oaf. Sorry, when Levy signed him.

You don’t dominate the 2016 euros and reach the CL finals if you “were never any good” or “hopeless”. Rafa doesn’t make you captain of his side if either of those were true.

Wouldnt be surprised if Poch takes Lloris, Sissoko and Dele next season.

Sissoko leaving for a fee plus will benefit us looking at foreign quota issue.

For the first two seasons he didn’t break a sweat, one of the most basic of footballers that’s ever been .

Sarcasm ? It has to be. I’ve seen canal
boats turn quicker. He came to us as an attacking midfielder. He’s hopeless. He was never any good. Newcastle fans are still laughing today that we took him off their hands

Seriously, is there a Spurs fan anywhere who’d care if this waste of space ever pulled on our shirt again.

Another player who should have never been signed in the first place.

Should have been a rugby league player or a 400 mt runner. Poch wanted to sign Wijnaldum from Newcastle but Levy signed Sissoko instead. Typical.

Aging player with contract running down = sell on while there’s still value. I don’t think it’s anything about him wanting to go, or us wanting him gone, just simple economics. He will be in demand, shouldn’t have problems finding a buyer.

One of my favorite players of the Poch era, hugely underrated passing abilites, and for a big and somewhat clumsy guy, quite versatile. Always gave his best, and looked after the young francophiles in the club as a big brother figure helping them to settle. Good man, best wishes to him.

For all his effort and I know he gives it everything he just lacks quality. Rarely creates, rarely scores, is a big body and is useful cutting down space, I thank him for his efforts but should never have been signed in the first place.
