In France, Amazon Prime Video provided coverage of the UEFA Europa Conference League.
One of the matchups on matchday one featured Tottenham Hotspur and Stade Rennais. The two sides played to a 2-2 draw, but this fixture made some news outside the pitch.
Former Arsenal FC forward Thierry Henry is a pundit for Amazon’s coverage, and despite his playing days behind him, the 44-year-old made it known that he’s not too old to stir up the rivalry in North London.
When Henry’s fellow studio host asked the ex-France international for his analysis ahead of the match between Tottenham and Rennes, he refused to acknowledge the Premier League club.
‘”Sorry, who? I don’t know them,” Henry said while hiding a smile, knowing he wants to get under the skin of Tottenham supporters.
Henry played against Tottenham 11 times between FA Cup and Premier League competitions. The forward never lost a North London Derby, winning on seven occasions and scoring five goals.
