Our World Cup winning Frenchman delivered an authoritative performance last night at Stamford Bridge, making 4 saves, a few of which were exceptional. The shot from Mason Mount was probably the star of the show, Hugo also dealt capably when put under pressure by Rodon’s awkward back-header.
We’ve been through some curious times with Hugo, but under Mourinho’s ethic that the team defends as a whole, I believe that he feels more respected and is playing some of his best football with us.

Think having José’s higher, demanding standards & Joe Hart as a better 2nd choice pushing him has resulted in Hugo raising his game.
He is getting his Mojo back, so well done. Fantastic save and a result to savour . Leicester grabbed a win at WHL, went on to be Champions and made a Movie, Spurs were the ‘Entertainers’, but Leicester City were the Champs.
1 save of note was all he really had to do yesterday, but he did it and it was a brilliant save. That’s the difference between losing the game or not. Well played Hugo.
Think he deserves to be held up as one of our greatest ever keepers at this stage
Easily the best of the last 20 or so years anyway
