Tottenham’s search for a backup striker might be over after a recent report claims that Metz’s Habib Diallo is waiting on Jose Mourinho’s team to make a move for him.
The Lilywhites will look to add another striker to their team in this transfer window as they hope to avoid struggling for goals when Harry Kane becomes unavailable.
The England captain remains the club’s most important player and one of the most accomplished strikers in the Premier League, but his importance also causes problems for the club when he is unavailable, and they want to address that.
Diallo has netted 44 times in just over 100 games for the French side and they are resigned to lose him in this transfer window, according to beIN Sports via Team Talk.
Spurs aren’t the only team looking to sign him as Norwich and Watford have run the rule over him before now, but their relegation doesn’t make them much of a competition now.
Crystal Palace and West Brom are two other sides who might make a move for him, but the report claims that the 25-year-old has his mind set on Spurs, and he will wait for the Lilywhites to make their move for him.

Just look at the other teams that are after him and it says it all. We’re now competing with the bottom feeders for players!
Looks a bit skinny will he be up to the rigours of Burnley away in a snowstorm
Who is he? And yeah, I’m still waiting for spurs to approach me ….
