How Spurs Over Performed On Goal Against City |image

By The Boy -

If we look at expected goals, it doesn’t take much working out that Manchester City were peppering the Tottenham goal relentlessly, their xG ratio was 2.07, whereas Spurs’ struggled to hit 0.68.

That said, Tottenham’s quality shone through, despite just 4 shots on goal, 2 went in and 2 were blocked. Whereas City’s shooting was woefully off-beam, making 17 attempts with just 4 shots on target. Kevin de Bruyne in particular took 6 shots, none of which were on target.

Spurs’ accuracy on goal was 50%, and City’s was just 23.53%.

Now let’s start taking a look at who did what for Spurs to seal this magnificent win.

We should have had more too, and that without Bale. Whereas most of the City shots were blocked. I think City are getting sick of us!
