Highly-rated manager urged to take over at ‘exciting club’ Tottenham

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann.

The 35-year-old German manager is currently out of a job after being sacked by Bayern Munich and it remains to be seen whether Spurs are prepared to appoint him as the next manager.

Former Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick has now suggested that Nagelsmann should take over at the North London club this summer.

Rangnick believes that it could be an exciting opportunity for the 35-year-old German manager and he would get the time and support to build a proper project at Tottenham. Rangnick also heaped praise on Tottenham’s stadium and training centre.

However, Rangnick believes that Tottenham will have to appoint a sporting director to help Nagelsmann if they decide to bring the 35-year-old in. He believes that there is a lot of room for improvement and growth at the club and Nagelsmann could thrive at Tottenham.

“I think Tottenham is an exciting club in many ways,” said Rangnick to Sky Germany. “They probably have one of the most modern, beautiful stadiums in the world at the moment. They have one of the best training centres, that is there at the moment and Daniel Levy, who has been leading the club for many, many years.”

“If Tottenham really want him, then I think it would be important if a sporting director was still there to support him.”

“It can be a very, very exciting story. There is room for improvement, a lot of room for improvement and yet this is not a club where the house expects you to be in the top one or two right away”.

The talented young German manager has proven his quality at RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich in the past and he could prove to be an exciting addition to Tottenham.

The North London giants could use a progressive young manager like him who will introduce an attacking brand of football to the club.

Antonio Conte was criticised for his cautious approach, and the Tottenham players will benefit from playing under a manager who prefers a free-flowing attacking style of football.

It remains to be seen whether the 35-year-old is prepared to take over in the coming months. He has been linked with other Premier League clubs like Chelsea as well.
