Tottenham Hotspur have made an impressive start to the Premier League campaign this season and they are currently on top of the league table.
They have been flying high under their new manager Ange Postecoglou and the Australian seems to have done an impressive job so far.
Tottenham have seemed very motivated on the pitch so far and their free-flowing attacking football has attracted a lot of praise as well.
However, Tottenham midfielder James Maddison has now highlighted another one of Postecoglou’s qualities.
According to the 26-year-old England international, the Australian manager is an exceptional speaker when it comes to motivating players and Maddison believes that he is the best motivational speaker he has seen.
Maddison said on Sky Sports’ A League of their own: “He’s a proper motivational speaker. He doesn’t say too much during the week.
“He keeps it all to match day and match day minus one, but in the meetings when he’s trying to get the lads going pre game he’s probably the best I have seen to be fair.”
Postecoglou has certainly managed to get the best out of his players this season and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham can sustain their current run of form and challenge for the league title.
They are still unbeaten in the Premier League and their performances against big clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool have been outstanding.
Meanwhile, Maddison has managed to hit the ground running at Tottenham since his big-money move from Leicester City and the 26-year-old has established himself as an indispensable asset for his new club. The midfielder will be hoping to build on his impressive start to life at the north London club and help them return to the UEFA Champions League.
