Here’s our starting XI vs Watford

By Ron Carne -

Our hosts today are injury-ravaged, and haven’t won a game in their last 6 outings, will Dr. Tottenham be making a house call, or will Antonio Conte have instructed his medics to unplug all life-support machines on sight?

Watford has won just one of their last 17 games against Tottenham, and that was way back when in 2018.

In a sign that their struggles may continue for an extended period, Watford has conceded two or more goals in five consecutive Premier League outings with a near ‘full strength’ defence.

Surely not?! Spurs’ midfielder Dele Alli has scored in five of his last nine competitive meetings with Watford, including a double in that aforementioned 4-1 win.

Talking Italian? There have been no draws, and an average of 3.56 total goals per game, in the nine previous managerial clashes between Watford boss Claudio Ranieri and Tottenham’s Conte (two wins to Ranieri, and seven to Conte).

My prediction is a 1-3 win to the Lilywhites.

We continue to grunt throw these games where you cannot genuinely create a pass, let me take that back. We cannot put someone on the pitch and disguise them as a creative mid. I was thinking about if we get one this January which we need real bad. Do we continue with the two bobcats or pull Lucas Moura to make room. It goes beyond this window. What do we do come summer. Does Conte decide on Hojberg or continue to develop Skipp. I said it already ready. PEH is in danger if we get a real box to box mid or a creative mid. As oppose to Winksy he has a higher resale value, and if Conte with Mason whispering in his ear, decided the Winks is going to improve or have a forward pass, he is going to get the nod ahead of Pierrie. Sadly, I see this train wreck coming.

Not too many or Levy will think all is well with the squad and not spend any money.
