Tottenham Hotspur continue to search for a potential replacement for Antonio Conte.
The Italian was sacked earlier this season and Cristian Stellini was put in charge of the first team on an interim basis. However, Stellini has now been relieved of his duties after a series of disappointing displays and former midfielder Ryan Mason has been appointed as the caretaker manager.
Tottenham are looking for permanent solutions and they are determined to appoint the former Bayer Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann.
The 35-year-old is regarded as one of the best young managers in world football and Spurs are keen to get him on board.
Fabrizio Romano has now revealed that Tottenham admire the 35-year-old German and they believe that he is the ideal manager who can build a sustainable project at Tottenham.
Apparently, they want someone who can rebuild the club like Erik ten Hag has done at Manchester United.
“Julian Nagelsmann is one of the top, top names on the list at Tottenham, they really want him and they are convinced that Julian Nagelsmann is the perfect man to build something long term to do something similar to what Erik Ten Hag is doing at Manchester United to build an idea and bring in players for him and to completely change the structure and the idea of the club with Nagelsmann as the manager, this is why he is the favourite candidate,” Romano said on YouTube.
Nagelsmann is certainly a talented manager and he has proven his quality in the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich. He has the quality to succeed in the Premier League as well and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham can secure his services at the end of the season.
He is currently out of a job after being relieved of his duties at Bayern Munich. The opportunity to manage in the Premier League is likely to be an attractive option for the manager.
