“He actually wanted this job” This manager is trending as Nuno replacement

By Bruce Grove -

Tottenham fans are not a happy bunch this evening and it seems most are united in one thing and that is the removal of Nuno Espirito Santo as the Spurs manager.

Checking on Twitter and basically, Spurs are trending all on their own as this image shows.

Now, having looked through these, not the promoted ad of course, it seems that fans just want Nuno gone even if it means Ryan Mason replacing him on a temporary basis.

The Nunos and Levy out trends speak for themselves and that leaves Fonseca, which obviously refers to Paulo Fonseca who was lined up at one point to get the job before he was thrown to the kerb.

In all fairness, some of the trending of Fonseca is from Newcastle United fans but generally speaking, it is the Spurs Twitterati calling for Fonseca to either get the job or fans lambasting the club for not hiring him when they could have, here is a sample of said Tweets.

I was way off believing this current Spurs team could win this fixture, under the current circumstances. The home results had been decent apart from Chelsea. The performances have not been so great home or away.

United were there for the taking in my opinion and Spurs asked no questions of them. Whether it’s Nuno being inept / unfit or Poch’s players throwing him under the bus is debatable. The truth is probably somewhere between the two.

The politics regarding ENIC I agree with. An investment company that don’t invest for 20 years. They’ve just used other people’s money to build their empire. I stopped attending matches at WHL because of them so I am never going to defend them.

I want Spurs to win football matches. I wanted Spurs to win this football match. I felt that Spurs best 11 could match up with United’s best 11. They turned up and yet again Spurs didn’t. The club is imploding. I have no desire to fight among ourselves.

I’m behind anything that damages Levy, I’m heartily sick and tired of his slow destruction of a great club. He is like a cancer.

Scott Parker won’t come, last checked he was top of the championship. I think the only solution is giving it on a temporary basis. If give it to Mason or Eddie Howe on a temporary basis (if Eddie is willing to swallow his pride) and wait for someone to get sacked. Looks likely that Brendon Rodgers or Poch are going to get sacked this season.

This isn’t about stats otherwise Nuno’s 50% win rate gives him time. But as Nuno said himself we’re ( as a 1st team) not on the right track

Let’s call this whole sorry situation what it is; a mess.
I look at Nuno Santo before, during and after matches, and I do genuinely feel sorry for the guy. He looks completely mentally shot away. He looks a psychological wreck. I don’t wish that on anyone.
The fact is, the task of rehabilitating this squad proved too big a job for the best in the business. José Mourinho failed not once in his career to win a trophy with any team he managed. That is, until he hooked up with Mr Levy.
With respect to Nuno, he ain’t no Mourinho, never will be. And if Mourinho drifted out to sea on a rip-tide, on an inflatable lilo made from these chumps, Nuno was a non-runner from the get-go.

The situation we’re in comes from years of neglect from Daniel Levy, and the only way out of it is if these people get out of our club. We need to insist on the removal of this manager, and put Daniel Levy back in the agonising position of trying to recruit for a position nobody wants. The position of him basically showing the footballing all-and-sundry that he is so inept and toxic, nobody of any standing is willing to work for him.
The manager recruitment fiasco of the summer was a major embarrassment for him, make no mistake. For it to happen again will further damage him. As fans, the best thing we can do for this club is to do as much damage to the reputation and the ego of Levy as we can.

Our squad is mid table quality. However, those stats make very grim reading for Nuno. He certainly won’t be here long if they do not improve, especially with the perceived favorable run in we have after Everton.

In otherwords, I would say that he isn’t as anti Levy as most of us on here, but I wouldn’t say he was particularly pro Levy, either.

He has appeared, actually, offering to have cabbages and tomatoes thrown at him in the stocks! I’d say good humoured and pretty sporting in the event. I may not share his seemingly naive optimism but I wouldn’t say that he was a fully signed up Levyite as such.

In truth, Poch was probably an unfortunate inconvenience for Levy, over achieving in the circumstances and raising the fans’ expectations.

Well, we retain our standing as the struggling team’s favourite opponent as Man Utd give themselves a lift! I remember Coventry City one year needing a win to stay up and it seemed they might finally fall through the trapdoor when I noticed that their final opponent was Spurs! Even with the match at WHL, I fancied it would be three points for the Midlanders. Coventry duly collected full points and stayed up!

Those depressing and abysmal stats above have you wondering why we are even as high as we are!

Listen to your suporters with out them this club will stagnate come on you spurs. A rant from a 50 year supporter

Fonseca will be the same position if he takes over after 3-4 months then what? you can’t keep in doing the same thing and expect different result. the solution is obvious Baldy should give up controlling the football side of the business less than that won’t do any good to the team or the fans for gods sake no decent manager wants to work with Baldy.please stop dancing to his tune of sack the manager theme we been there and done.

Should we replace Nuno with Ryan Mason? Christ Nuno is so bad I’d replace him with Jackie Mason!

Unsurprising that he doesn’t even have the magnanimity to come on and admit he’s way off. Typical Levyite.

Not even Newcastle want that Roma reject. Getting rid of the manager will only paper over the cracks. Levy has ruined spurs. He got lucky with Poch and it’s showing now. Sell Kane, and get rid of Dier, Deli, Winks, Sanchez and Davies And sod off and let someone else buy the players. If Nuno goes we may as well get Scott Parker in and let him rebuild. I doubt he’d want it though.

Until Levy goes the same old problem will just keep reoccurring; hire manager, don’t support him and buy cheap junk, blame manager and sack him. Rinse and repeat endlessly until dumb Spurs fans eventually realise the truth. I don’t know what happens after that as it’s taken most of the dumb Spurs fans 20 years for the penny to finally drop!
