Jamie O’Hara is still fuming at the Tottenham players who played in the 2-1 loss to Slovenian minnows, NS Mura on Thursday.
The Lilywhites put in a terrible performance in that game and lost the match very depressingly.
Harry Kane and Dele Alli, among others, played the game, yet Spurs struggled to get even a draw.
O’Hara also reveals that an insider had informed him of Antonio Conte’s reaction to the defeat.
“I’m a Spurs fan first and foremost, I’m passionate about the club, I wear my heart on my sleeve and sometimes I can’t hold it in and I have to say what I have to say,” he said on TalkSport Breakfast.
“I just want to see Spurs do well and see them progress and some of those performances I’ve been seeing… with a new manager coming in and from Antonio Conte’s point of view, he’ll be thinking the same thing.
“And I heard through the grape vine that he absolutely went in on some of them big time. Someone on the inside told me. He went IN.”
The Boy Hotspur says
Most of the players’ Spurs fielded in that game should not be playing for the team.
They showed with that performance that they were not willing to do the work needed to remain at the club.
Conte is one of the most demanding managers in the world and he cannot work with players who will not meet the required standard.
The Italian will need to go through this season with the squad he inherited, which means some of the flops from that game may get another chance.
However, there will likely be several departures from the club in the winter and summer if the players keep underperforming.
At least it happened much faster this time around. Four games in, and he’s already had it with these jokers. Good, now let’s hope Levy has learned from his mistakes for once.
Hitchens is a clown..just another Levy stooge who hates football hates the fans and is completely incompetent…sh-t catcher
Only because the queue is too long..
No you wouldn’t.
” Someone on the inside told me, he went IN”… Nice detailed account there Jamie..
Vlahovic would be amazing… We desperately need a centre mid playmaker too, unfortunately Skipp will lose his place there.. Also a centre back needed.. Davies frightens me, he can’t defend or attack and he’s a first choice cb at the minute… Three quality players would change our first team alot.
Exactly what we need a journeyman being the inside source. Must be one hell of footballer with a career in more zip code that a post office.
Regardless of the lack of quality in certain positions, the work rate and application in the Mura game, in front of a new manager was shocking.
Also, I don’t ever want to see another player at my club stoney-faced again after a win, like Steve B and Doherty after the Leeds match. What on earth is going on there, they’re both bang average (Doherty Championship standard) and need to go. No doubt there will be several others…
I can’t see how many quality players we can get in January, because Daniel won’t pay a premium to shift them from their current clubs mid season.
I guess there might be an Italian club that really needs to pay the bank back!
Just get Hitchens out of the club,he’s rubbish.
Unfortunately the clear out will not happen in one window. Be nice to have Paratici and say Hitchens split the job and focus on either ins or outs which could be efficient in getting the job done.
These dead beats have seen off three managers. Conte will be in their cross hairs now. It doesn’t help that HK wants out. Let’s see who wins this latest battle.
“so off the record Harry Winks told me……”
We need to spend big on quality, established players in January and the next 2 summer transfer window. Stop buying kids and punts until we sort this problem out. Forget about the future because the NOW badly needs addressing.
I sure hope he did berate them with some proper industrial language.
I’d have given a few of them a couple of dry slaps oops up side the head too.
