Harry Redknapp hands Tottenham huge boost, ‘very confident’ star ‘will be staying’

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.

Clubs like Manchester United and Bayern Munich are keen on signing the England international but former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp believes that the player will end up staying at the North London club.

Redknapp has now handed Tottenham a major boost by claiming that Kane is certain to stay at Tottenham beyond this summer. Apparently, the striker is building a mansion in Surrey and he is unlikely to head to Germany with Bayern Munich.

The former Tottenham manager adds that a move to Manchester United or Chelsea does not guarantee a trophy for the 29-year-old striker.

He said to BBC: “[Harry Kane] is cert to stay at Tottenham. I think he is building a new house.

“Family would be the all-important thing for him, so there’s no chance he’s going to Bayern Munich. He’ll be staying at Tottenham.

“He’s not going to want to go to Germany – he’s not taking his family over there, not a chance. So if he stays here, unless you go to Manchester City, you’re not guaranteed to win anything.

“You could go to Manchester United and not win anything. You can go to Chelsea or anywhere else you want to go. At the moment, City are winning everything. They’re on a different level – but City don’t need him. They’ve got Erling Haaland up front and there’s not a spot for Kane any more.

“There’s not a move for him really so I think he’ll stay at Tottenham, I really do.

“I’m very confident about that.”

There has always been a feeling that Kane will continue in the Premier League, and he will look to scale the scoring record set by Alan Shearer.

It remains to be seen how the situation develops over the next few weeks.

The striker is in the final year of his contract and Tottenham will not want to lose him on a free transfer. The player will have to sign a new deal if he wants to continue at Tottenham.

The 29-year-old is one of the best players in the world and his departure would be a major blow for the club.

Spurs have already missed out on Champions League qualification and they need their top striker to stay if they want to get back into the top four next season.
