Harry Kane tipped to erase Thierry Henry from record books

By Bruce Grove -

Harry Kane has started this season in fine goalscoring form and he has even added a new dimension to his game.

The Englishman is famed for his goalscoring abilities and he remains one of the best attackers in the world at the moment.

However, he has now added providing assists to his game.

He has formed a deadly double-act with Son Heung-min in the Tottenham attack that has seen him provide 8 assists in just 6 Premier League games this season.

The record of the number of assists in a league season by any player in the Premier League is 20.

Thierry Henry held the record for a long time and it was only equalled by Kelvin de Bruyne last season.

Martin Keown was writing for Daily Mail and he claimed that the record is now at risk of being broken by the in-form Kane.

He claims that if the England striker remains at the top of his game, he will break it this season.

He wrote in the Daily Mail: “He [Kane] is starting high, dropping deep, and showing there is more to his game than merely scoring goals.

“With eight assists in six games, at this rate Kane would obliterate the Premier League record of 20, shared by Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.”

Lockdown 2.0 next on the basis that hospitals will become overwhelmed in certain parts of the country.

Well they didn’t first time around and secondly, with the economic damage and affect on people’s general well-being in a country of over 66m should the restrictions not stay regional?

Why lockdown areas that could be functioning with a degree of normality just because somewhere else is bad? Political pressure methinks and the copy-cat behavior of governments across Europe. Makes little sense Boris is all rhetoric and zero substance.

Sweden have dealt with this better than most because they haven’t destroyed their economy in the process while their death rate is hardly any worse than anywhere else. They kept their hospitals open for other treatments too.

A year down the line they’ll be back to normal with less residual deaths, yet we will have generational debt, tax implications and more deaths from other stuff…

I like forwards that do this, like Teddy and Keane.

Yes that would,
& with a bigger better squad than last season, I would be more than content with an injury free season for Kane & a ban free season for Son.

Then we could do great things as a team.

That would be great.
