Manchester United have made a record-breaking £107 million offer for former Tottenham striker Harry Kane, according to Football 365.

This aggressive move comes on the heels of United’s appointment of Ruben Amorim as their new manager, who steps in as a long-term replacement for Erik ten Hag, recently dismissed from the role.

Amorim’s arrival has ignited speculation about potential high-profile signings to boost United’s squad in the upcoming transfer windows.

Report from Spain, as reported by Football 365, suggest that United’s hierarchy is determined to provide Amorim with a formidable attack, with Kane viewed as the ideal target man to lead the new era at Old Trafford. The club faces competition from Paris Saint-Germain, who have reportedly also made a £107 million offer for the Bayern Munich star.

The new United boss has reportedly ordered the signing of a star player who would lead his project, and wants to replace both Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund.

Manchester United’s interest in Harry Kane and Tottenham’s buyback clause

This is not the first time Manchester United have been linked with Harry Kane. He was strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford before he signed for the German giants.

However, he continues to be linked with the Red Devils, with former English footballer Stan Collymore already tipping him to make a return to the Premier League next season.

Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano previously clarified that Kane’s Bayern contract includes an unconventional buy-back clause that requires Bayern to inform Tottenham if they receive an offer for him from another Premier League club. This clause grants Tottenham an opportunity to respond but leaves the final decision in Kane’s hands.

Given his longstanding ambition to surpass Alan Shearer’s record of 260 Premier League goals—Kane currently sits at 213—his return to English football remains a strong possibility.

Tottenham’s struggle to replace their star striker

Tottenham have yet to truly fill the void left by Kane despite hefty investments in replacements, including Richarlison and Dominic Solanke.

Richarlison has struggled to make an impact, while Solanke has shown promise but has yet to reach the prolific levels Kane once delivered.

During his Tottenham tenure, Kane scored 280 goals and provided 61 assists in 435 games, establishing himself as the club’s most reliable attacking force. His form has continued at Bayern, where he has amassed an impressive 61 goals and 21 assists in just 61 games. (Transfermarkt)

What’s Next: Return to Tottenham or move to Manchester United?

Kane’s record-breaking offer from United could bring him back to the Premier League, where he would have the opportunity to chase Shearer’s goal record.

However, it remains to be seen whether Manchester United can outmanoeuvre PSG or if Tottenham will make a move to bring their iconic forward back.
