Big injury boost for Spurs: Gold claims key first-team player will be back in time to play Crystal Palace

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham Hotspur’s string of injuries persists this season, with Ange Postecoglou’s starting full-backs being the latest to be sidelined.

Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie have recently picked up injuries, resulting in their absence from Tottenham’s defeat to Wolves last week.

Providing an injury update, Tottenham correspondent for Football London Alasdair Gold, shared both positive and negative news regarding the full-back duo.

Gold indicated that Udogie is on track to return for Tottenham’s upcoming clash against Crystal Palace on March 2nd, providing a boost for the team. However, he expressed uncertainty regarding Porro’s immediate return.

Gold said on his YouTube channel:

“It looks like Udogie should – hopefully – be back in time for the Crystal Palace game. Whereas, Porro maybe not.”

Both players were absent from the club’s recent open training session as they continue their recovery processes.

Udogie’s absence stemmed from discomfort he experienced during the match against Brighton, while Porro has been sidelined with a muscle injury.

Porro, in particular, has been a key creative force for Spurs this season, contributing significantly with eight assists, a figure that ranks him among the top creators in the division.

While Udogie’s availability is no doubt a huge boost for Ange, Porro’s absence will remain a concern for Spurs.
