Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Giovani Lo Celso is expected to leave the club at the end of the season.
A report via Fichajes claims that the midfielder has fallen out of favour with manager Ange Postecoglou and the Australian does not consider him as a key part of the team’s future. It seems that Tottenham are prepared to cash in on him and they will consider offers of around £15 million.
Italian giants Napoli are interested in securing his services and it will be interesting to see if they can secure an agreement with Tottenham. The report further adds that Lo Celso’s departure is imminent.
The 27-year-old Argentine midfielder could prove to be a useful acquisition for most clubs, and his versatility will be an added bonus. He can operate as a central attacking midfielder as well as a winger. He will add goals and creativity in the final third.
Giovani Lo Celso needs to move on
The Argentine international needs to play regularly at this stage of his career and Spurs will not be able to provide him with that opportunity. A move away from the North London club would be ideal for him at this stage of his career.
Lo Celso has been linked with a return to Spain as well. It will be interesting to see where he ends up during the summer transfer window.
Tottenham will be hoping to recoup a reasonable amount of money for him and improve their squad during the summer transfer window. They have put together an exciting squad but they need to add more quality and depth if they want to compete for major trophies.
Getting rid of their fringe players will be a top priority for Tottenham this summer.
