Nerves kicking in yet? Mine began demanding beer a few days ago.
The Times have a nice piece on Maurico which is well worth reading (£).
However both the The Sun and The Daily Express have rather clumsily opted to snatch the reference to Dutch starlet Van De Beek and pass it on as a ‘Pochettino Target’. A source close to the club tells the Harry Hotspur blog that this isn’t a player we’ve made specific enquiries for at this stage.
Harry Winks is back amongst the living. The Daily Mail believe that his rehab and training have got him in shape for a return to action tomorrow night.
Will Winks start? Well, Poch has nominated the 23 year old to take questions with Hugo Lloris at the UEFA presser this evening.
Official travel partners Thomas Cook were forced into issuing a holding statement yesterday, after the firm bungled flights for fans who paid £559 for the privilege.
“We’ve been working closely with Stansted and Madrid Airports, air traffic control and government transport authorities to finalise flight times during an exceptionally busy day for Madrid airport.
“Five of our six flights will land at least six hours before kick-off so supporters will have plenty of time to soak up the atmosphere and head to the stadium.
“We’re working to bring forward the sixth flight and we’ll update fans as soon as we can.”
Without being privvy to more detailed information. this looks an awful lot like Thomas Cook kept selling seats long after they had hit their initial capacity.
It’ll be intersting to see what branding is on the 6th plane. At this rate, it could have ‘RAF’ on the side.
