French Ligue 1 club have offered Tottenham three quality players

By Bruce Grove -

Spurs have been offered the chance to sign Mike Maignan, Victor Osimhen, and Boubakary Soumare by Lille, according to a report out of France.

Individual reports have linked each player with a move to the Tottenham Stadium in the last few months.

Maignan is reportedly considered to be the best person to replace Hugo Lloris in the Spurs goal, Osimhen has been one of the revelations of the season in France and the Nigerian is seen as a credible backup to Harry Kane at Spurs.

Soumare is viewed as a player to help boost Spurs’ midfield options as Jose Mourinho becomes disillusioned with his current options in that position.

The report from Soccerlink.fr also claims that the Portuguese manager is reportedly good friends with Lille’s director of football, Luis Campos, and he has offered the players to his friend first as they look to cash in on their stars amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

The French Ligue 1 has been ended and some teams could struggle with payment of wages and other costs and that could force them to sell their star men.

Jose Mourinho replaced Mauricio Pochettino halfway through this season and the former Real Madrid manager is probably looking forward to adding some players to his team when the transfer window is reopened.

However, across Europe, prices of players are expected to drop because of the pandemic and it is unclear how much Spurs would have to spend on new transfers.

When you can’t recruit Jack Grealish when times were good what chance have you now? Probably expect Lille to pay us to take those three players off their hands.
