Former Tottenham scout Bryan King has voiced his doubts about Brazilian forward Richarlison’s future at the club, despite the player’s public declarations of loyalty.
Richarlison has been heavily linked with a move away from Tottenham this summer. Reports suggest that the club would consider selling him if they receive a tempting offer.
Several Saudi clubs have shown interest in the Brazilian, reportedly willing to spend a substantial amount, potentially allowing Spurs to recoup the £60 million they invested in him in 2022.
Former Brazil attacker Jose Ferreira Neto further fuelled the speculation by claiming that Richarlison is unhappy at Tottenham and wishes to leave England and return to Brazil.
Richarlison came out and publicly denied all such reports, claiming that he is not going anywhere.
Despite Richarlison’s assurances, Bryan King believes the player’s future at Tottenham remains uncertain.
He argues that Richarlison may still be swayed by a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia, and questions whether he fits into manager Ange Postecoglou’s plans.
King told Tottenham News:
“I still don’t think he has a future with the club.”
“He just doesn’t seem to be a Postecoglou type of player. How many times have we seen a player suggest they’re happy to stay where they are before leaving? I am sure he could still have his head turned by the money on offer in Saudi Arabia.”
