Former Spurs gaffer said to be close to securing lucrative Saudi Arabian coaching gig

By Eddie Razo -

The Nuno Espírito Santo era at Tottenham Hotspur didn’t last long; after a couple of months into his tenure, the Portuguese tactician was sacked due to the performance of the north London club. Spurs were hovering in the Midcable, leading to his ousting.

Despite having Premier League coaching experience, some would think Nuno would bounce back in a top-four league following his sacking. However, Foot Mercato reports that the 48-year-old is close to signing a contract with Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad FC.

It will be interesting to see if Nuno plays this job to catapult himself back into a gig in English football or, at the very least, in France, Italy, or Spain. Nonetheless, the former Wolverhampton Wanderers boss being axed at Tottenham was the best decision for them.

Spurs would appoint manager Antonio Conte, who would turn the season for the club and eventually have Tottenham finish in the top four and clinch UEFA Champions League football for 2021-22.

I would like to hear from a Wolves fan as to how he managed to get them playing so well as his Spurs tenure was like watching the final weeks of dear old Badger.
