Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Manor Solomon this summer.
The 24-year-old was on loan at Fulham this past season and he did reasonably well for the London club.
Tottenham are hoping to add more depth and quality to their attack and according to a recent report from the Athletic, Spurs are keeping tabs on the 24-year-old winger.
The winger has a contract with Shakhtar Donetsk until the end of the calendar year and it wouldn’t be surprising if the Ukrainian outfit decided to sell him for a nominal fee this summer. They will not want to lose him on a free transfer.
This is a golden opportunity for Tottenham to sign him up for a knockdown price and former Premier League manager Avram Grant believes that the 24-year-old could prove to be a quality acquisition for Tottenham.
Grant has labelled Solomon as an exceptional player who could improve Tottenham in the final third.
Furthermore, the former Chelsea manager adds that Spurs are looking to rebuild the side and the North London club would be ideal for the 24-year-old at this stage of his career.
He said to ONE: “Solomon had an amazing season in England. He is an exceptional player. There are not many like him in England. His dribbling ability is amazing. He has game intelligence.
“Today, Tottenham is a bit of a rotten team and if they build something good there, then it’s obviously the right decision for him because it’s a big club.
“He can play there. He proved this year that he can play in the English league, without any doubt.”
Solomon will be looking to play at a high level and he is likely to be tempted to join the North London giants if there is an offer on the table.
Having shown his qualities at Fulham, he will be hoping to make his mark in the Premier League next year.
Players like Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski have been mediocre this past season and the competition for places will help the squad improve. Solomon could compete with them for starting berth next season.
Also, given his contract situation, he is likely to be available for a bargain.
