Former manager names the Premier League attacker who ‘can play for Tottenham’ next year

By Mehdi Gokal -

Former Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood has named the Nottingham Forest player who would be a great signing for Spurs.

Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski scored to help Spurs to a comfortable 2-0 win against Nottingham Forest last night.

Bissouma’s red card turned the momentum towards the end but the Tottenham defense did well to hold on to the lead.

One Nottingham player who was impressive yet again was Gibbs-White. He has been one of their best players along side Taiwo Awoniyi.

And speaking ahead of the game, Sherwood praised the 23-year-old, stating that he can see him play for Spurs next season if Forest get relegated.

He said on Premier League Productions (via TBR):

“If there’s one player in the Forest team who can play in Tottenham’s team, I believe Morgan Gibbs-White can play for Tottenham.

“I can see him playing from next year if Forest are in the Championship, which I don’t think they will be.”

He joined Nottingham from Wolves last summer in a deal worth £35m and has been exception for them since. He has scored 6 goals and assisted 10 in 56 appearances.

He is a versatile player that can play in a number of positions making him a player that fits the profile for Ange.
